SEO playbook results on an EU e-commerce store

Google clicks went from 5 in April to 1,255 in September, and the average position from 14.3 to 7.3, while our team ran the SEO playbook by hand. It is one store in a seasonal category, so read it as what the playbook did here, not as a forecast for you. What was done

Our team ran the SEO playbook that ADpilot now automates, by hand, for this store. These results come from that manual work, not from the software. This study reports the outcome in Search Console; it does not break down the individual changes.

Method

  • Source. The store's own Google Search Console property, monthly totals of clicks, impressions and average position.
  • Read on. 14 October 2026. The last row covers only part of a month and is marked as partial.
  • Store. An EU e-commerce store in a seasonal home and garden category, anonymised at the owner's request. It is not ADpilot's own website.

Limits

  • Seasonality. Demand in this category rises in autumn, so part of the growth would have happened anyway. There is no control group.
  • One store. A single site cannot tell you how much of the change the playbook caused, or what it would do for another business.
  • Average position is Google's average over every query that showed the site, so it moves when the mix of queries changes, not only when rankings do.
  • Google only. This study uses Google data. It says nothing about Bing or AI answers.

To run the same playbook on your own site, see SEO OS for the search data and the blog writer for the articles.
