AI search

AI search visibility for small businesses: get named in AI answers.

Each week ADpilot asks ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini the questions your buyers ask and records whether each one names your business, in which position, and whether it cites your site. Copilot citations come from Bing. Where you are missing, it suggests the page that would answer the question.

How it works

Three steps.

  1. 01

    Track the questions

Write questions the way a buyer would, without your brand name, or take ten suggestions from your brand profile. Each engine answers each one weekly.

  2. 02

    See who gets named

Named and in which position, cites your site, not named, or dropped since last time, per engine, with the share of answers that name you week by week.

  3. 03

    Write the missing answer

Where you are missing, one click on Write an article starts a page with an answer-first brief, using your Google, Bing and AI answer data for the topic.

Tracked questions

Every question, every engine.

Dropped means an engine named you last time and not now. The fix is usually a page that answers the question directly.

Tracked questions with the result per engine: named first, second or third, cites your site, not named or dropped

Share of answers

Whether it is getting better.

The share of answers that name you, per engine, next to the questions where you are missing.

Bing is the gateway

Why we read Bing for AI answers.

Copilot answers are built on what Bing has indexed, so a page missing from Bing cannot be cited there. ADpilot imports Bing's Copilot citations and shows Bing next to Google.

  1. Your page Published on your site and listed in your sitemap.
  2. Bing's index Bing has to crawl and index the page. SEO OS shows your Bing pages next to Google's.
  3. Copilot and Bing AI answers Cite pages Bing has found. Bing Webmaster Tools reports those citations. Confirmed by Microsoft
  4. ChatGPT search Microsoft made Bing its default search experience in 2023. OpenAI does not name its search providers today. Partly confirmed

Questions

Straight answers.

Is this what I would see in the ChatGPT app?

Close, not identical. Answers come from each engine's API with web search turned on. A signed-in user with history and location can get a different answer, which is why the trend over weeks matters more than one answer.

Why does Bing matter for AI answers?

Copilot and Bing's AI answers cite pages Bing has found, and Microsoft made Bing ChatGPT's default search experience in 2023; OpenAI does not name its search providers today. A page Bing has not indexed cannot be cited by Copilot, which is why SEO OS reads Bing next to Google.

Do I need my own AI accounts or keys?

No. The checks run on ADpilot's own accounts.

Which plan includes it?

Scale, as part of SEO OS, with up to 25 tracked questions across all your brands.
